Culture Flipper is seeking English copyeditors. We need experienced copyeditors with professional experience. English must be your primary language.


Responsibilities:

  • Rewrite from translated source material in a manner that stays true to the original content and intention
  • Review and edit written content for accuracy, clarity, coherence, and consistency, following set style guidelines
  • Enhance readability and flow by restructuring text as needed
  • Proofread text with careful attention to detail
  • Apply standards of composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Verify factual accuracy with reliable sources, including proper nouns


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience writing for marketing, PR, advertising, or for publication
  • Proficiency in English language at a primary-speaker level, with a deep understanding of English language nuances
  • Ability to keep on task and meet firm deadlines
  • Interest and knowledge of popular culture, including movies, TV shows, games, fine art and music
  • Must be good at multitasking, flexible, and a positive team player
  • Able to work with a multi-national team
  • Understanding American culture a plus
  • Additional language proficiency a plus
  • Subtitling experience a plus
  • Graphic novel experience a plus
  • Webtoon experience a plus
  • UI experience a plus
